About Gerald Chin
The best chefs in the world will tell you cooking isn’t just finding ingredients that work well together—it’s an art form. Chef Gerald Chin, equipped with decades of culinary excellence, uses this wisdom by transforming fresh ingredients into creative masterpieces. His tenure and training in Europe, New York, and Las Vegas have stoked his artistic expression—elevating him to Vice President of Culinary Operations at the renowned MINA group.
Named “Best Chef on the Strip” in Las Vegas, chef Chin set his sights on a new way to stir fry with his latest concept—Buddha Bowl. The lovechild of both him and Michael Mina, Buddha Bowl was created to offer healthy cuisine with an unparalleled amount of flavor. Both chefs worked tirelessly to create a cooking method and specialized wok to eliminate the refined oils, sugar, and soy found in traditional stir fry dishes. They’ve trademarked this technology and cooking method, heated using Japanese white charcoal, to bring incredible build-your-own and chef-special “buddha bowls” to big appetites across the Treasure Valley.
